Art Residency Invitation I BTK
Art For Everyone invites artists, creators, and dreamers to join our 3-day residency “Spaces of Belonging.” Together, we will transform our shared environment into a canvas for community, creativity, and connection. The residency runs daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, offering time, space, and inspiration to work on your projects while engaging with fellow creatives.
Synesthesia Residency Plan: “Sensing Beyond Sight”
- To explore synesthesia as a creative and therapeutic tool, blending sound, color, texture, and emotion.
- To foster multisensory art-making that deepens emotional intelligence and expands aesthetic experience.
- To build a community of artists and individuals who are curious about cross-sensory perception and healing.
Core Themes
- Sound-to-color translation: How music evokes visual forms.
- Emotional mapping: Using color and sound to express inner states.
- Sensory storytelling: Creating narratives that engage multiple senses.
- Therapeutic immersion: Using synesthetic techniques for emotional release and grounding.

- Visual artists, musicians, poets, designers, sensory researchers and students.
- Open to emerging and mid-career creatives.
- No prior experience with synesthesia required—just curiosity and openness.

- To foster a community that reflects on what it means to belong in today’s world.
- To encourage artists to transform the residency space into a living canvas of shared stories.
- To highlight how creative practices can bridge differences and cultivate empathy.
- To promote collaboration across disciplines, allowing painting, photography, performance, and installation to coexist and dialogue.

Residency Structure (3 Days, 11 AM – 8 PM)
- Day 1 – Mapping the Space
- Orientation and introduction to the theme.
- Guided walk-through of the residency space.
- Artists sketch or brainstorm how they interpret “belonging.”
- Evening circle: share initial ideas.
- Day 2 – Creating Together
- Studio time: participants develop their projects individually or collaboratively.
- Midday workshop: “Art as Dialogue” — exploring how creative work communicates across cultures.
- Evening peer review: artists present progress and receive feedback.
- Day 3 – Sharing the Space
- Final touches on artworks.
- Open showcase: invite local community to experience the works.
- Closing reflection: discuss how the theme influenced their process and how art can continue to build belonging.
Core Idea: This residency invites artists, students, creatives to explore the concept of belonging . How spaces, both physical and emotional, shape identity, community, and imagination. It emphasizes the power of art to create inclusive environments where individuals feel seen, valued, and connected.
Residency Experience
Participants will be guided through a journey of exploration, creation, and sharing:
- Exploration of Belonging
- Artists reflect on personal experiences of belonging and displacement.
- Group discussions on how spaces — homes, cities, communities — influence identity.
- Guided exercises in color psychology, storytelling, and spatial awareness.
- Creation of Artistic Responses
- Each artist develops work inspired by the theme, using their chosen medium.
- Collaborative projects (murals, installations, performances) that embody collective belonging.
- Open studio hours to experiment and exchange ideas.
- Sharing with the Community
- Final showcase where artworks are presented to the public.
- Interactive installations inviting visitors to contribute their own reflections on belonging.
- Closing circle to celebrate the collective journey and discuss future collaborations.

Charges and enrollment Process
Basic Participation Fee – PKR 15,000 Access to shared studio space, guided sessions, and group activities for Btk.
